My God is mighty to save.
That is one of my favorite lines of a Hillsong United worhsip song right now.
During our show last Saturday we had a time of worship at the end where Blake, Chas, me, Jeremy, Micah, and Nate all played together.
We have been singing this song at church for the past couple of weeks and the words really strike my heart as I think about where I am at, where others around me are, and where our lives are headed.
As I was singing this Mighty to Save song with Blake, I was reminded of how much God has blessed me with, including the ability to get up in front of people and bare my soul of how much I love him with song. It is also a constant reminder that without Him, without Jesus, and without mercy, there is no way, NO way, I would be doing what I am doing right now.
I would gladly be a backup singer, singing harmony for a lead singer, someone who has way more voice than I do. Ask Mel, she knows that I always used to make her sing melody so that I could sing back up harmony when we sang on praise team together.
God has a sense of humor, I will give him that. And I love him for it.
